"God is the designer of the family. He intended that the greatest of happiness, the most satisfying aspects of life, the deepest joys should come in our associations together and our concerns one for another as fathers and mothers and children." -Gordon B. Hinckley. "What God Hath Joined Together," Ensign, May 1991.

Brennan's First Prayer
... "Thank you for this food" (this was a bedtime prayer, not a meal one) "Thank you for playing with the toys; thank you for juice; thank you for legos; thank you for cars and trucks" (his toys).
This is where I stepped in to help finish it off because I couldn't spend all night appreciating everything in his bedroom. He's so funny. I love Brennan!

How old is he? 27... going on 30 (he he he)
Who said "I love you" first? Brian did, the night before I left for home at the end of the semester. The next morning he gave me a love letter which I read while driving (oops) out of Rexburg, in the snow (double oops). Can you believe I was leaving my boyfriend for the summer right after hearing those words from him for the first time?!? I had quite a drive home, lost in my thoughts.
Who proposed? Brian, on the beach in Oregon. He'd come out to meet my family. He met them and asked my Dad for my hand in marriage in the same day, and proposed the next day. I didn't know it was coming that day because we'd never looked at rings together. Little did I know that Brian got the nerve to pick out a ring on his own, undiscussed, ever! I'm so proud of him! I love knowing that he knew me well enough to find a ring that I'd love.
Who has more siblings? Heather- 4 sisters vs. Brian with 3 brothers.
Happy Valentine's Day
Brian started class again last Tuesday. Just as we developed our routine with him at home and available during the day, time to rework it. I need to get used to leaving him alone and taking care of both kids on my own. Yikes! I'm so glad he's home at least (does his schoolwork in our bedroom upstairs) which means I can call upon him if needed.
I took Brennan and Asher to the Indoor park's Valentine's Day party. I think that this was the first outing I've done with them alone come to think of it. It was a good one to start on because I could let Brennan run around the gym (where the "park" is located) and he can play with everything without running off or getting into things he's not supposed to. Because today was the party there were different stations set up. Brennan decorated his own sugar cookie and played with play-dough and did the cake walk among other activities. We had a good time.
Anyway, as I said, things are good. We're getting used to life's new challenges and enjoying it too.

Sundays with the Stevensons
My sister Devon with Asher. I had to add this 'cause they look so cute!
How 'bout that Super Bowl, eh? As you can see, most of this family slept through it.

I mainly just wanted to show off my new haircut, but unfortunately this is the best picture of the bunch. This was the day of the cut, which means I can't recreate how nice it looks, otherwise I'd try to get a better picture.
