Trip to Grants Pass

Brennan and I just got back from Grants Pass where we visited my sister Jenny and her children. We had a lot of fun. Brennan spent lots of time playing outside with John and Justin getting nice and grubby. By the end of each day he was totally EXHAUSTED! I think he's going to sleep for the next week straight.
About a week before we left my friend Angie called to see if Brennan and I wanted to accompany her and her two children on a trip to Grants Pass. It was a total coincidence that I was already going by Jenny's invitation the same weekend! So, I carpooled with Angie. Her daughter Clara is Brennan's age and they are the best of friends. (Brennan learned to say "Clara" about the same time he finally learned to say "Mama.") They had fun together in the car for the 3 hour commutes, and were surprisingly good for us Moms.
It sure is nice to be home though. I really missed Brian those 4 days.

Brennan had a fun time at his birthday party. The kids played in the play room at the complex's community building. They all participated in a painting/coloring/sticker project, ate lunch, and got a goodie bag to take home. I can't believe that Brennan is 2 now! He's growing so fast!
At Brennan's 2 year Dr. appointment we discussed Brennan's frequent facial/body rashes. Our Dr. told us it looks like Brennan's got a food allergy of some sort. I was told to test out a few things to find the culprit, so I started with the most common one - milk. We've had a hard time cutting out dairy, especially Brennan's favorite food, cheese. His rash is almost gone now though, so he may indeed be allergic to dairy. That would make me sad, but it could be worse. I hear there's substitutes like non-dairy cheese, butter, yogurt, etc... though I have yet to find any in the stores I shop at.

I've decided to give this blog thing a try. I'm hoping it will be an easier way for family and friends to view pictures and hear updates when they occur.
Brian and I are pretty excited for this week. Tomorrow is Easter. Brennan should have a FUN time "hunting" for obviously hidden eggs. Also, as he shopped with the Easter Bunny, I already know that he'll love his little gift.
Brennan's birthday is this next friday so we're having a small party. Just a few friends to play, eat, and do an art project. I'm QUITE excited, though Brennan has no idea what I'm talking about. He'll love it!
Brian is doing well, chugging along through school. I'm currently transferring schools, so I've got a break until the term starts in June. The race is on to see which one of us will graduate first!
